Small Business Web Pages. Website Design, Website hosting and Domain Name Registrations for Small Businesses in the Townsville Region.

Getting a New Web Site

You can get a new web site up and running quickly. The steps below show you how the small business web pages process works.

Get an ABN for you Business

To register a domain name for your business you have to prove you have a right to use that name. The easiest way to do this is to apply for an ABN. Having an ABN with the same name as your intended domain name will help to establish that the business name already belongs to you.

Pay Small Business Web Pages to register the domain name

When you pay for the domain name to be registered you are also paying for two years of hosting your website and email accounts. The price of the initial payment can be found on the pricing page.

Hand over artwork and literature you would like on your website

You are still in control of your own brand and marketing. Your business will be judged by the information you put on your website. If you don't have all the information straight away, relax. We have time to make alterations as we go to design the site exactly as you want it. Use the tips on this website to help you think about important information you would like to display on your web page.

First Website draft

Within a week of you paying the deposit and supplying your artwork and literature to Small Business Web Pages you will be emailed to let you know the first draft of the site has been put up for your approval. This is done quickly to give you a chance to see how your information looks on the website. This will give you more ideas of what you want and don't want to see on your site. Email back the changes you wish to make with any further literature and artwork.

Second Draft

As with the first draft, you will be emailed within a week of your additional changes being received. This email will let you know that the changes have been made to your site for your approval. You now have one final chance to request changes to your site in the same manner.

Final approval and payment

Once the final changes are made you will again be emailed to let you know that the changes have been done and that your website is now finished. You will also be sent the invoice for designing the website.

Ongoing changes

Once the website has been running for a while you may wish to make updates to your website. Trivial website changes such as changing a phone number can usually be done at no extra cost. Any more significant changes will be done on an hourly rate. Most changes of simple websites can be done for the price of the first hour.
